Steve Smith wearing a rugged Baggy Green cap and he think rats had done it.

Date:

Australia’s Steve Smith’s ragged baggy green has caused quite a stir on social media, with many fans calling it a sign of “disrespect for national symbols.” But the right-handed thug revealed the real reason for wearing a ragged baggy green beanie: he blamed the rats in Galle’s locker room.

Smith, who captained Australia to a big win in his Second Test of the series against the West Indies, was pictured in his rather ragged baggy green.

In 88 tests since 2010, the Smith’s Baggy Green was a little hard to put on. The fabric was worn to the brim and hours and days of working in the fields for his country took its toll on his iconic cricket hat. Some question whether Smith should get a replacement.
I left it in the goal dressing room overnight, like everywhere else, and the next day I saw it was a mouse,” he told The Australian.

“I’ll try to fix it this week. It’s falling apart.”
