Numerous Joshimath residents in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district are in fear. Houses in their hundreds have developed cracks. Landslide scope is also expanding. People are scurrying to secure areas. Soon, CM Dhami will make a trip there.
The incidents of land subsidence and cracks in the walls of houses are increasing in Joshimath, Uttarakhand. Local people are in panic due to increasing scope of landslide. People are forced to live in the shadow of fear. On the other hand, the displeasure of the local people towards the government is increasing. People’s protests have intensified.
Badrinath highway jam
The anger of the affected people erupted on Thursday regarding the landslide. People have blocked the Badrinath Highway. Due to the jam, there has been a long line of vehicles. Apart from this, local markets have also been closed. People have now announced chakka jam. Earlier last evening, a large number of people also protested by lighting torches.
CM Dhami will visit Joshimath
Soon, CM Dhami will travel to Joshimath as well. Dhami stated: “In a few days, I’ll be travelling to Joshimath. The matter will be handled in the best way possible. To keep an eye on the issue, I spoke with Shailendra Pawar, head of the municipal corporation.”
