Adipurush is a 2023 Indian epic action film directed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Om Raut under the T-Series and Om Raut Productions banners. The film stars Prabhas as Rama, Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman. It is a modern adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana.
The film was released on 10 June 2023 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali languages.
Adipurush Review
Adipurush is a visually stunning film with some impressive action sequences. However, the film is let down by its slow pace and uneven storytelling. The film also suffers from some poor VFX work.
The performances in the film are generally good. Prabhas is suitably heroic as Rama, while Saif Ali Khan is menacing as Ravana. Kriti Sanon is also good as Janaki, but her role is somewhat underwritten. Sunny Singh is a bit bland as Lakshmana, but Devdatta Nage is excellent as Hanuman.

The film’s biggest problem is its slow pace. The first half of the film is particularly slow, and the film doesn’t really pick up until the second half. The film’s storytelling is also uneven, with some scenes feeling rushed and others feeling dragged out.
The film’s VFX work is also a bit of a mixed bag. Some of the VFX work is impressive, but other parts of the film look quite fake.
