On March 3, SEBA administered the Class 10 HSLC English exam, which is being conducted in 912 centers for around 4.22 lakh pupils.
As per the official Twitter account of Ranoj Pegu, the Education Minister of Assam, the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) cancelled the English board exam in a Cachar district center.
No new date for the exam has been declared yet. Pegu’s official notification stated that SEBA cancelled the English exam based on the local authorities’ reports that students at a specific exam center were allegedly using “dishonest methods” during the examination.
SEBA has cautioned students and authorities that appropriate action will be taken against any examination center or candidate that receives objectionable reports during the remaining days of the examination, upon receipt of the report.
