The ISC (Class 12) board exams for 2023 commence today

Date:

The ISC (Class 12) board exams, conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), will commence today, February 13 and will continue till March 31. On the first day, students will write the English language paper 1, which will begin at 2 pm and last for 3 hours. Most exams will follow this timing, with a few exceptions.

Candidates are required to bring the printout of their admit cards and follow the instructions mentioned on it and in the time table. They should also remember the following guidelines:

  • Arrive in the exam hall 5 minutes prior to the start time and do not leave before the end of the paper. Late arrivals must provide a satisfactory explanation to the examiner, with those arriving more than 30 minutes late being disallowed from taking the exam.
  • If an incorrect paper is handed to you or if the questions indicate missing stationery, inform the examiner.
  • Carefully read the instructions at the beginning of the paper, including the number of questions to be attempted, and follow them.
  • Write your signature, unique ID, index number, and subject on the top sheet of the main answer booklet and any continuation booklets, maps, or graph papers.
  • Only use black or blue ballpoint pen to write in the answer booklet, leaving margins on both sides and writing each question on a separate line.
  • You are permitted to use a scientific calculator or a basic calculator, but not one with features for information retrieval.
  • You will be given 15 minutes to read the questions in addition to the time indicated for writing.
  • After finishing a paper, arrange the sheets in order and fasten them at the top left corner. Request continuation booklets as needed and attach all booklets, unused or not, to the main answer booklet. All working, including rough work, should be done on the same sheet.
