Around one in the morning on New Year’s Eve, Kaushal Yadav, an employee of Swiggy and a resident of Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, was riding his bike past the sector 14 flyover in Noida when it was struck by an unidentified car.
The two-wheeler was struck by the car, which then pulled the rider about 1 km further to Shani Temple, where the driver came to a stop before driving away.
The family of the deceased man has complained to Phase 1 police station. They claimed in their lawsuit to have called Kaushal the evening of the incident. A cab driver answered his call and reported that Kaushal had been in an accident close to the Shani Temple.
Police have opened an inquiry into the hit-and-run after registering a case. The cab driver who told the family about Kaushal is being questioned, and CCTV evidence is being examined.
